The day I decided to end my fears, I galloped toward freedom, shedding every doubt. I understood the value of trust and the need just to be. And with a sweet caress, leaning on his flank (or «leaning into his space/side» if «regazo» is interpreted more broadly for a horse), I could hear the beating of his heart. Synchronizing with mine, inviting me to be a part. Making me a part of his purity. From that day on, we were one. My horse and I. And he, the other half of my soul.
